One of the most daring players of the era, Lou Brock was known for his bold speed on the base-path and power at the plate. During the 1967 season, he would lead the Cardinals to a National League pennant and then the World Series Championship, while racking up 12 hits in the process. Throughout his entire career, he would accumulate 938 steals – a record that would remain unbroken until 1991.
