“Refuse to Lose” became the mantra for Seattle during the summer of 1995 and Ken Griffey Jr.’s home jersey is an exact reflection of the Mariners turning an impossible feat into an actual reality. In the final game of the division series, Junior performed what became known as “The Dash” in the bottom of the 11th inning – scoring from first base on a line-drive hit to left field. The M’s clinched the ALDS and would go on to play in the American League Championship.
