The Toronto Maple Leafs introduced this new look third jersey for the 2000-01 season. We're recreating the 2001-02 version because that was a much better season for the Leafs. The 01-02 Maple Leafs advanced to the Stanley Cup Conference Finals, defeating the New York Islanders and the Ottawa Senators in the earlier playoff rounds, but were ultimately eliminated by the Carolina Hurricanes in six games. Captain Mats Sundin, in his eighth season in Toronto, was named an All-Star for the seventh consecutive time.
