The 1976 Philadelphia Phillies enjoyed one of the finest seasons in franchise history. It was their 94th season, and they achieved their first postseason berth since 1950, winning the National League East title with a 101–61 record. They finished nine games ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates and went on to the NLCS, where they were swept 3–0 by the Cincinnati Reds. Mike Schmidt opened the year in spectacular fashion, hitting 12 home runs in the team's first 15 games, including four in a single contest on April 17. He also won his first Gold Glove and batted .308 in the postseason. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of this memorable season with a new classic — our satin dugout jacket.
