Dick Butkus 1966 Authentic Jersey Chicago Bears
Drafted by his hometown team in 1965, Richard Marvin Butkus established himself as one the NFL's all time greatest, and possibly, "The Most Feared Man in the Game" (Sports Illustrated, 1970). The image of the 6'3" linebacker, in his navy Bears # 51 jersey, patrolling the middle of the Bears defense, cold air blowing from the front of his facemask, is as synonymous with the NFL as the football itself. In his nine seasons in a Bears uniform Butkus was named to the Pro Bowl eight times, Defensive Player of the Year two times and to the All Pro First Team six times.
