Joe DiMaggio 1939 Authentic Jersey New York Yankees
Joe DiMaggio could do everything on the field. He was known to hit for power and average, but it was his ability to glide across the outfield and make the toughest fly-balls a chest-high catch that earned him “The Yankee Clipper” nickname. DiMaggio’s Yankees home jersey is significant of the 1939 season, as he led the league with .381 batting average, hit 30 homeruns, and became the American League MVP for the first time in his career. Two seasons later, “Joltin’ Joe” would go 56 games with consecutive hits – a record that remains to be unbroken to this day.
