Description
The Los Angeles Raiders picked USC standout and Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Allen in the first round of the 1982 NFL Draft. Allen went on to capture rookie of the year honors as he began a career that would end with Hall of Fame status. Allen is fondly remembered for his performance during Super Bowl XVIII in 1984, when he was named Super Bowl MVP after wearing down the Redskins defense by rushing for 191 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
