1985-1986 New York Knicks royal nylon textured mesh road throwback jersey #33 Patrick Ewing
Patrick Ewing’s arrival in the Big Apple was an indirect result of Bernard King’s knee injury. After King was injured the Knicks went on a losing streak and finished the 1984-1985 season with the second worst record in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks were able to secure the number one pick in the 1985 draft because of the downfall they incurred after King’s injury. With that pick the Knicks took Patrick Ewing out of Georgetown University. Ewing immediately made an impact as he won Rookie of the Year honors. Over the next fifteen seasons Ewing was perceived as the heart and soul of the Knicks franchise. Ewing helped lead the Knicks to three division titles and two trips to the NBA Finals.
