A shift in ownership power prior to the 1989 season called for a new era in Dallas. The Cowboys fired their lovable fedora clad head coach, the only man to be the head coach up until that point, and began piecing together a championship caliber team. By the 1992 season the Dallas Cowboys established themselves as the most revered team in the NFL. They barreled their way through the NFC with the combined fire power of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin, all selected to the Pro Bowl. The Cowboys defeated the Buffalo Bills 52-17 in Super Bowl XXVII, their third title as a franchise. In the spam of four years the Cowboys would win three Super Bowl titles.
