Description

Cincinnati Reds 1976 Road Polyester/Nylon Jersey

In June of 1970, the Cincinnati Reds moved from Crosley Field to Riverfront Stadium, their new, state-of-the-art cookie cutter stadium. Riverfront Stadium was surfaced with Astroturf except for the base pads, which used dirt provided by a local graveyard. In 1976, the National League celebrated its Centennial Anniversary and the Reds wore a patch on their jersey to commemorate the historic occasion. The Big Red Machine went on to dominate the National League as they swept the Yankees for their second straight World Series title.
