Chicago White Sox 1985 Home poly/nylon knit jersey # 72
On July 1, 1910, Comiskey Park opened as the White Sox played the St. Louis Browns. 75 years later, the White Sox commemorated the longevity of their home with a patch on their jersey. Eleven faithful Pale Hose fans who were in attendance on July 1, 1910, were invited back to help celebrate Comiskey Park’s 75th birthday. The White Sox were led by their slugging Hall of Fame catcher who hit a career high 37 homeruns.
