Jim Rice emerged as an offensive threat within the powerful Red Sox lineup during the memorable 1975 World Series. Mitchell and Ness’s authentic reproduction of Jim Rice’s 1975 home jersey depicts the youthful talent displayed within the Red Sox lineup. The white poly-knit jersey remains true to the disco crazed times. The Red Sox nickname is accurately cut from tackle twill and placed across the front of the jersey and Rice’s #14 rests neatly on the back. It was only during regular season play that the Red Sox helped celebrate the Bicentennial of Massachusetts by wearing a patch on the sleeve of their uniform. Jim Rice spent his entire career with the Red Sox and our jersey is a celebration of his time in Boston.
